Blogspot glitch for replies
Hrrrmpph! There seems to be a problem with blogspot. I can't seem to post comments or replies, so, my deepest apologies if I appear rude, leaving visitors' comments unanswered. I'll email you if you leave an address.
I found a post on another site where you told of the top brown/grey "Hootch" at the top of sourdough starter. Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. I would have thrown away perfectly good starter. Mine has been setting a long time since feeding it. It has a inch of the hootch on top and smells like really good gruyere cheese. I poured off the top liquid, added the flour and purified water and we’re in business. So glad I caught your post. YAY!
